Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) has become pervasive in the academic research arena. Top journals increasingly request complex analyses such as Structural Equation Modelling. Unfortunately, only a few researchers know how to conduct a Structural Equation Modelling analysis. Delegates will be introduced to the Structural Equation Modelling method and principles. They will gain an understanding of the various techniques to test and improve simple measurement models (Confirmatory Factor Analysis) and simple structural models.

 

This basic program lays a solid foundation for whoever wants to master this complex tool. Case studies are applied using IBM SPSS Amos or Smart PLS packages. This course is designed for academic researchers, postgraduate students (Masters and PhDs), research supervisors, lecturers and independent researchers. The course is delivered in two (2) sessions of six (6) hours each.

 

General computer literacy and sufficient SPSS knowledge are required for this course.

Overview

 

Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) is a family of statistical models that examines a series of dependence relationships simultaneously. It is particularly useful in testing theories that contain multiple equations involving dependence relationships. This intermediate program is an intensive and hands-on workshop designed to equip all researchers who are interested in publishing SEM-Based articles. Delegates will learn how to improve the measurement and structural models and provide statistical evidence of composite reliability, convergent validity and discriminant validity of the research instruments. Finally, participants will learn how to report their SEM results. Case studies are applied using IBM SPSS Amos or Smart PLS packages. The course is delivered in two (2) sessions of six (6) hours each.

 

Being familiar with IBM SPSS statistics and basic SEM knowledge is a prerequisite for this course.
